YOUTH MOVEMENT
Youth Movement and Community Concern Charity Projects
THE YOUTH MOVEMENT of Joshua’s Generation is established to effectively contribute to the development of young people. The Movement is used as a platform and training ground to prepare them as future leaders and empower them to achieve four major objectives among others: (i) Ability to combat joblessness and develop their full potentials. (ii) To eradicate poverty from among them and for them to enjoy affluence all the days of their lives. (iii) For them to create wealth and prosperity for themselves and their homeland and (iv) to prepare them for future leadership role in all areas of life activities and endeavours.
THE MOVEMENT is the Youth Wing of the GMACWM, known as the Joshua’s Generation. The GMACWM is established to take God’s love and healing to all people by the authority and power of his living, active and unfailing word; proclaim the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, preach and teach God’s word under the power and leadership of the Holy Spirit in complying with the Great Commission given in [Mat. 28:18-20]. The Youth Wing is also in the forefront of proclaiming this good news. It is also a part of our community concern charity based projects aimed at making input in the lives of young people and contributing to their development in order to make a difference in their lives.

THE CAPACITY BUILDING AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMMES:
Our community concern charity based project for young people aims at creating capacity building and empowerment opportunities for them to acquire knowledge and skills to engage in enterprise, business and technological developments in order for them to combat joblessness, poverty and contribute to the development of their homeland. Under our partnership arrangement with the University of Uyo and Uyo City Polytechnic, our young people are given training to acquire practical skills in modern technology, setting up and running their businesses. Funding arrangements for them to secure capital to set up and run their businesses are in place with our banks. They do also have access to our ongoing investment opportunities that enable them to participate in investment business and earn money for themselves. There are also opportunities to take part in other business ventures that will help them combat joblessness and poverty. -
OTHER LEARNING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMMES:
There are also other learning and skills development training programmes designed and structured to achieve planned and clearly defined outcomes at specified timescales aimed at giving them exposures and involvement in developing projects that will help them to develop and acquire social, organisational, administrative, management, leadership, planning and implementation, analytical, presentation, communication and coordination skills as well as working with others or as a team. Our young people are also given the opportunity to involve in decision making process that gives them practical work experience to prepare for real life challenges and problem solving. This also helps them to think creatively and come out with innovative and positive ideas on how to utilise limited and scarce resources as well as the ability to combat joblessness, poverty, create wealth for themselves and contribute to the development of their homeland. Any young person who wants to be a member of the Movement can apply either online or contact the Youth Director on 0703 820 8616 or the Administrator on —————————— or write to the Secretary, Youth Movement of Joshua’s Generation ——————————– for further information. -
‘U CHOOSE’ CHARITY PROJECT
This is the promotional name for our Consolidated Charity Project (CCP). It is established to bring all our Charity projects together under the name, ‘U CHOOSE.’ GMACWM has been in the forefront of providing help and support to the poor and the needy, the sick and the weak, widows and orphans and other disadvantage or less privileged people. Our charity team visits them in hospitals and homes in order to restore hope in them and share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with them. The team works with medical personnel in hospitals to provide medicines for treatment of the poor sick people who cannot afford money to pay for their medications. We also:
• Provide basic necessities to elderly and disabled people.
• Give assistance towards education/training of orphans and destitute.
• Help and supports widows to have some relief in raising their little children.
We also provide relief materials, spiritual and moral supports to all the aforementioned suffering people in order to alleviate their suffering and hardship. We do also support other charity projects that reach out to the poor and take the gospel of Christ to remote parts of the world. We believe in God’s word that says, “He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord and he will reward him for what he has done.” [Prov. 19:17] You can identify yourself with our charity projects by making donations to support the poor and needy, the sick and the weak, orphans and widows. Reports of our charity works are given in our Charity information booklet, ‘U CHOOSE.’ On receiving your donation, this booklet will be sent to you as an appreciation for supporting our charity projects.
