God does listen to, hear and answers prayers of his people or those who call upon him for help or for his intervention in their problems. The scripture declares, “O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come.” [Ps. 65:2] God himself encourages his people to call upon him as it is written, “Sacrifice thank offerings to God; fulfil your vows to the Most High and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you will honour me.” [Ps. 50:14-15] God is always ready and willing to answer the prayers of those who believe in him and call upon him by faith.
