A CALLING TO PRAY AND INTERCEDE FOR OTHERS

God will bless you immensely and give you more gifts and honour as he did to those faithful servants who put their talents to work [Mat. 25:14-23] but for the one who hid and refused to us it, the talent was taken away from him disgracefully.
As you are obedient to God, he is going to use you mightily and you will be standing as one of the ministers of the Most High God to pray and intercede asking for God’s intervention in the lives of suffering people and for God to forgive and heal our land from all vices that deprive us of God’s blessings. This could be the beginning of a breakthrough in your calling and ministry as God himself is ready to bless and reward you for responding to his calling and being an instrument for Him to reveal himself to thousands of people out there who do not know who the true and living God is and are deprived of and denied the freedom to serve him through his son Jesus Christ.
As we go around many countries of the world ministering to people, we have seen many people crying out and making prayer requests for prayers because of what they are passing through – the attacks and oppression of the evil one in their lives. Many are sick, in pain, suffering in one way or the other, tormented, frustrated, humiliated and they need God’s invention in their situation. Others are kept in ignorance of the true God and are in spiritual prison panting for who the true God is and freedom to serve him. In many parts of the world, there are corrupt, evil and wicked practices by leaders and others that as a result bring suffering and destruction to many innocent people and block God’s blessing for masses of people.
This situation can only be changed by God’s intervention and God wants people who are called by his name to pray in order for him to intervene, bring relief to people and change their situation for good. You can now appreciate and understand why God declares in his word:
The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; and oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the alien, denying them justice. I look for the man among them who will build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. [Eze. 22:29-30]
If people of God do not pray, the land becomes sick, people face all kinds of dangers, become worried and confused as their future is darkened with uncertainty. Our loving Father cares and does not want people who are his creation to be exposed to all kinds of dangers, miseries and suffering. This is why he declares in his word saying:
“If my people who are called in my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” [2 Chr. 7:14]
As you do have a calling to pray and intercede for people and nations of the world and for God’s glory to be revealed, this scripture is for you. God is saying he will hear your prayers and use them to forgive sins and heal the land – your veryself will be blessed and as he will grant you his sure favour.
Now rise up to your calling and join the global prayer network. God is looking for you. God is looking for people who will stand in the gap and pray for others and nations of the world to come to the knowledge of the only true God and serve him. God is looking for people who are willing to be instruments in his hand in order for him to bring relief and deliver the suffering people from the oppression of the evil one through prayers.
