A BRIEF TESTIMONY TO ENCOURAGE YOU AND STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH
Perhaps I can share this brief testimony to encourage you. When I was in my former church, I knew that God has given me a ministry to bring healing and deliverance to people. Since the church did not encourage personal ministry or people to grow in their calling, I could hardly function in the way God has called me. However, I did not stop praying to God to guide and direct me on how to go about my calling, claiming the word of God that says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” [Ps. 32:8] Because of my faith in Christ who calls me and my obedience in responding to his calling, today I am going around many countries of the world, taking God’s love and healing to people and nations. Where-ever I go God glorifies his son Jesus Christ in miracles and signs and has raised me to a position and office I would not have smelled if I did not respond to his calling. On one occasion in my former church we had a revival night and I was ill. I went to the meeting and sat at a corner in the congregation. The officiating minister called on ministers to come out and pray for sick people. Since I was sick myself, I felt I needed to be prayed for and not for me to pray for other sick people. So I did not go out to pray for the sick who went out to be prayed for. Before long, there was large number of sick people that went out to be prayed for all kinds of problems and there was a lady who sat at my left hand. She said to me, “Sir, the Lord is saying you should go out and pray for the sick people standing and waiting there to be prayed for.” I ignored her and did not say anything. The reason being that there were ministers already there praying for people. After a while the lady said to me again, “Sir, the Lord is saying you should go and pray for people still waiting to be prayed for.” I ignored her and did not say anything. In my heart I said “this lady is trying to find trouble with me. The Lord knows that I am sick why is this woman troubling me?” It did not take long the lady repeated, “Sir did you hear what I was saying, the Lord says he wants you to go and pray for people who are still standing there to be prayed for.” As I was shivering and I did not want this lady to trouble my life again, I went out to pray for the people. As I lifted up my hand to lay on the first person, she was down on the floor under the anointing power of the Holy Spirit. The same was with the second person. Before long all the people standing whom I laid hands on were all on the floor. I came under such strong anointing that as I walked pass or before I laid hands on people they were just falling on the floor like that. At the time the meeting was over, I discovered my sickness had gone and I was no longer shivering again. I was completely healed just like the sick people I was praying for they got healed.
You can see from this testimony that if I had not obeyed the Lord, I would have gone back with my sickness. Those people who were healed, delivered and set free from their problems that day may not have had their breakthrough if they were to be healed or delivered through my ministry. There are people out there whom God wants you to reach out to them through your ministry or prayers and you will be failing God if you delay or do not act. You must respond and act now without wasting time. Because of my obedience to God’s calling I am now reaching out to people in various part of the world today through my ministry and for God’s glory. I have also seen abundant God’s blessing in my life. All this is to encourage you to take your rightful place in your calling and to join God’s army of ministers to reach out to the generation of your time with God’s love, the good news and the gospel of his son Jesus Christ. As you respond to God’s calling, he is going to roll away what you are facing now and meet your needs according to his riches in glory. [Phi. 4:19]
